Achoo! is a game from DiseaseWeather by Orbient. This page describes the current early release. Updated October 26, 2026.

Saved on this device

The game saves your progress, scores, settings, collected cards, and chosen location in this browser. Other people using this browser may see them. They do not move to another device.

Location is your choice

You can use the demo without sharing your location. If you type a town or share device location, the game sends that town name or your approximate location (rounded to about a kilometer) through our server to Google to find the place and get weather. Your browser asks before sharing device location.

Weather comes from Google. Includes weather data from Google. See Google’s privacy policy. The game keeps a weather reading for up to one hour, then gets a fresh one. Game germs are made up. They are not a reading of germs in your room or town.

Shared high scores

Saving a shared score is optional. Your arcade nickname, score, level, difficulty, and game mode are stored on the server. Other players can see your nickname and score. Use the name choices provided; do not use your real name.

A random browser cookie helps limit repeated score submissions. The server also stores a run code and submission time. Scores are casual game rankings; they are not independently verified.

Visits and game events

DiseaseWeather links include a campaign tag, and the sticker or page code you arrived with, so the site can tell a visit came from Achoo! The game uses Umami, the same visit counter as DiseaseWeather.com. It does not use cookies and does not tell us who you are.

It counts page visits and these game events: game start, practice finished, level start, level complete, game over, end of visit, DiseaseWeather link clicks and DiseaseWeather+ interest. Each event carries only the level number, difficulty, game mode, the sticker or page code you arrived with, and the game version.

It never sends your location, town, nickname, name, or any health information. Our hosting provider may keep its own request records.

Remove local data

Use your browser settings to clear this site's stored data. This removes your saved game, chosen location, and settings from this browser. It does not delete scores already shared to the leaderboard. To remove a shared score, email hello@orbient.com with your nickname, score, and the day you played.

Play and accessibility

Swipe to steer. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or W A S D. Tap direction buttons can be turned on under Accessibility & controls. Sound and vibration are optional. Vibration works only on supported devices and browsers. You can pause at any time. Full nonvisual maze play is not available yet. No full-game accessibility conformance is claimed.

Science tips

Tips link to their public-health sources. The game does not diagnose illness or measure your personal exposure. Game points do not change your real surroundings.
